Mac OS X is popular for its innovative technology and brilliant features. Mac OS X is considered as one of the most secure and robust operating systems. There are series of Mac OS X developed by Apple Inc that are designed according to the needs of individuals i.e. either for business organizations or for personal use. Mac OS X has a Graphical User Interface that enables you to create effective and professional looking documents. You can create beautiful documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Word documents are very often used in our daily life from writing effective business letters to a complex academic dissertation.
These documents usually contain lot of important information of our work, and losing such vital document can make any one mad. Even after using the safest operating system, you can still face a document loss situation. The loss may be because of some common human errors or technical deficiencies like unintentional deletion or loss of your documents due to virus attack, abrupt system shut down etc.

Here are some of the documents deletion scenarios you may come across:

  1. Accidental deletion of a document: Most of the people prefer to delete the unwanted documents, which are stored in computer to avail the space occupied for reuse. But, you might accidentally delete the files which later turns out to be an important file.
  2. Emptying Trash: If you accidentally deleted a document then there are chances to get it back from Trash but once you empty the trash you can’t restore it back from trash also.
  3. Deletion from terminal: A document may also get deleted from Terminal using a command "rm". If you have  just used "rm" the document will go to Trash folder but if you have used "rm -rf" command it will bypass the Trash folder. For more info on Mac terminal deleted file recovery, visit here,
  4. Formatted volumes: Sometimes you may format a volume containing your important documents which causes the deletion of your documents.

Whatever may be the reason, it is always painful to recreate a deleted or lost document, as it takes a lot of time to recollect the appropriate data source for creating the document again. So, to avoid such conditions it is adviced to keep a backup of your important documents using Time Machine on Mac system. Before deleting the documents from Trash or before emptying Trash, make sure that you have backup of those files because if you require same documents in future then you cannot retrieve those documents by manual methods.
